The Perfect Trailer for Heavy-Duty Jobs

Often, people underestimate the importance of having the right tool for the job, and when it comes to heavy-duty jobs, there's nothing better than the FHZ Flatdeck. Whether you’re a professional contractor or just looking to haul heavy machinery around, this is a trailer for people like you. Why?  Well, let's break it down.

A Trailer Built for Tough Jobs

The FHZ Flatdeck is available with axle options of 10k, 12k, or 16k duals that will ensure that you will get just the right trailer for the job. From tractors to construction equipment to heavy machinery, this trailer offers versatility with options like slide-in, stand-up, or mountain ramps to make loading and unloading easier.

Gooseneck or Pintle Hitch: Your Choice

One of the best features of FHZ's choice between a gooseneck and pintle hitch offers flexibility for whatever your truck and hauling needs may be. You can select trailer lengths starting at 20 feet all the way to 44 feet, ensuring you will have enough space to handle just about anything. With a 12" bridged I-Beam main frame, this trailer has been built with durability and strength in mind, so no matter what you load it with, it is built to last.

The Front End: Built for Convenience and Strength

Up front, the trailer features a pair of spring-loaded drop-leg jacks rated to 12,000 pounds each. If cranking is not your thing, hydraulic jacks are available as an option for easier use. An adjustable gooseneck coupler rated at 30,000 pounds takes the heavy payloads in stride. It also features 3/8” grade 70 safety chains, a breakaway kit, and a 7-way RV all-weather wiring harness for security and dependability.

A Toolbox That Works as Hard as You Do

A though job often needs a wide variety of tools and equipment. Between the tongue, there is the Mega Lockable Toolbox. This isn't your average storage box; it's roomy enough to fit all your tools and equipment for whatever the job might need.

Ruggedness in Every Detail

The FHZ isn't only built to carry heavy loads but is designed to do so safely and reliably over the long haul. A 12-inch engineered steel I-Beam gives the tongue both incredible durability and a sleek design. The main frame is fabricated with a 12" Bridged I-Beam (19 lbs. per foot) and the floor deck is pine lumber with 3" channel cross members, spaced 16 inches apart for maximum support. It has extra strength from the 2" x 6" 11ga tubing bed frame with a 4.5" torque tube to handle all the stress your job throws at it.

Easy Access and Cargo Security

Need to jump up onto the deck in a hurry? No problem. The FHZ features slide-in steps on either side for easy access. For securing cargo, the trailer is equipped with ID stake pockets with rub rail, and you can choose to add as an optional feature, 4, 6, or 8 D-rings welded to the deck for tying down cargo.

Heavy-Duty Running Gear

Standard on an FHZ Gooseneck Flatdeck are two 10K Lippert electric brake dual oil bath spring axles, but if you need a higher weight rating, you can upgrade to 12K or 16K duals. You also get 10-ply tires mounted to 16-inch black mod wheels; so you're ready for whatever the job or terrain throws at you.

Versatile Ramps and Lighting

The FHZ can be whatever you want. In the back of the trailer, you will find 8' long 4" channel heavy-duty slide-in ramps. Unless you want it with a dovetail and mountain ramps or slide-in ramps. At Horizon, safety comes first and with that in mind, the trailer is equipped with DOT approved Tecniq LED lights and marker lights at the rear and sides providing great visibility, for better safety on the road.

Attention to Finishing and Warranties

One thing that makes Horizon Trailers stand out from the rest is the high-quality standards in each and every one of its processes, from the selection of materials to the finishing, the FHZ goes through a 6-step painting process-including steel grit blasting and a powder coat finish, that ensures your trailer looks great and resists wear and tear. You'll have 10 colors to choose from to match your style. As an added peace-of-mind bonus, all of our trailers are NATM-certified, assuring you of a top-quality product.
